Download Adobe Reader
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The FAA eForm Service has been tested to work optimally with Adobe Reader or Acrobat
Professional v8.1.1. Acrobat Professional 7.0.5 will work with the current system,
but upgrading to v8.1.1 is recommended. Later updates in the 7.0 release
(specifically 7.0.7 and 7.0.8 for Reader or Acrobat) have a known issue with digitally
signing forms. To avoid this problem, uninstall any version of Adobe 7 Acrobat
Professional other than 7.0.5 or upgrade to the recommended version 8.1.1.
How to check which version is currently installed
-
Open Adobe Reader
-
Select Help from the Menu Bar and click About Adobe Reader
-
Note the version displayed on the upper right area of the splash screen.
-
If it states Version 7.0.7 or 7.0.8, proceed with the uninstall instructions below.
-
If it states Version 7.0.5, you don’t have to do anything, however, Reader v8.1.1 is highly recommended.
If you wish to upgrade Reader, proceed to the uninstall instructions below.
-
If it states Version 8.1.1, nothing else needs to be done.
Note: To uninstall Adobe Reader, you need to
have administrative rights to your computer. If you do not have
administrative rights, contact your local computer support staff to remove Adobe Reader and
install the supported version.
